Riet. FUN - I think is a right word in the case of my picture! That children and people were builting the future and I believe in future and the peace... Sadness is not solving the problem in my opinion.

Wonderful entries all of them! Am happy to report the Nail Polish is now off my hand! Had to paint my left hand, and the heart shaped stone with nail polishes to take the photo, and that was no easy feat as I had to photograph a hand with wet nail polish on it with the right hand!! LOL!!!!
Congratulations to all members on wonderful entries and work, thought and application! Looking into the hearts of the photo's, and PS work, one can see a clear meaning, the whole world groans for peace.
Backs, thankyou for bringing up a wonderful theme!!! It was a challenge, but really worth it!
We will achieve nothing as the world will never be at peace while there is greed and lust on it, but, this Friday's theme was one we will never forget as it wa a day we stopped and thought of that dreaded word. War.
It was also a day upon which we could reflect on ourselves who are safe from terrorism and bombings, to be thankful for the freedom we have in the free countries. And in Australia, to be thankful that our Government has a watch on all activities in Australia which could be a threat to the peace our Fathers fought for for, we, the Australians of the 1940's and 1950's whose Father's and Uncles went to fight a war which wa supposed to end all war.
Sorry, I can only speak for Australia! I cannot imagine how it could be in Israel when it was bombed so recently, nor in Lebanon where they now face retaliation for those bombings.
May God keep us all safe!!

Congratulations to all who sent in pictures for No war Friday! We can all see the thought that went into every artwork! If nothing else it got us thinking about the futillity of war!!

Mafernandes, now I'm confused, because I could not see your picture When I click your link it says
' you don't appear to own this picture!' So I could not place the word 'fun' .I thought it was sarcasme....
I'm glad you are for peace and love and of course sadness doesn' t help. Our protest here won' thelp either. I'm fully aware of that. For me it was a way to express my frustrations :)
Well, I may have misunderstood something; no harm done......

PS Mafernandes: I went through your archive now because I was so puzzled......saw your entry. Oke, I understand now. Something must have gone wrong with your uploading because the link is still wrong.
Everything clear now. Your idea was excellent! Although I still have some trouble with the word fun. Maybe because it' s not my language. Fun means to me laughter and being merry...
