How many people on here sell there photos?
I was just wondering what the going price was.
I'm thinking of selling some on Ebay but i'm not sure if they are good enough to sell yet.
Anyone got any views/tips on selling?

Sam, I don't have any on there right now(usually always have some) but I have found that you don't want to undervalue your work.
So much(of anything) on ebay is a matter of marketing or presentation.
I usually show mine in a very neutral but complimentary mat, but sell most with out the matting. Matting is so personal and it's what the buyer sees in the photothat helps determine it.
I tried selling at a low price and they just didn't move. Once I raised the price(and made the value appear higher) they sold much better.
On a final note, your work is more than good enough to sell. It will boil down to a matter of presentation and the perception you create of value.

Dan Heller has written some books on how to sell digital photography. I've looked at his book "How to Make Money with Digital Photography" and I think he has some rather good tips in there.

With regard to selling stuff, would it not be possible for Fotothing to set up a gallery where people can make secure transactions for their pictures...?
I mean anyone can approach anyone else here to say "I like that image, may I pay you for it?"
There are no shackles here (except the no porn rule), that's what makes it so good.
Ralph.
