The Flickr "I Use Film" group is organising a Buy Film Day on the 1st October.
The idea is to register a leap in sales to make the manufacturers sit up and take note that there are still lots of people using it.

Damn skippy people still use it. If they stopped making fillm I'd die!
I saw something on Flickr a couple weeks ago about Kodachrome going out :(

if kodak and the other major film makers stop making film, there will still be niche companies (like ilford) that still make and sell it. hell, you can still get stuff for using large format cameras even though not a lot of people use those anymore. it might become a specialty item, but i highly doubt it will ever cease to exist entirely. :p
also, i love using film, but don't use it much anymore since there are very few places that still develop color film and i don't have access to a darkroom for my black and white film (still have 6 undeveloped rolls).

haha, yes i do. i haven't shot much with the D60 yet, because I'm still not used to the differences between digital and manual camera yet, but i'm getting more used to it and have gotten a few good shots.

what i was really saddened by was Polaroid discontinuing their instant film a few years back. sure, you don't need instant shots anymore when you can preview everything digitally, but it was such a fun medium!
