what do you think of between matt or gloss paper for results and quality i use gloss but a friend swears on matt, he uses 190gms matt where i use around 250 gms gloss

Personally I would choose matt every time as I find the finished quality and colour reproduction is much better than with gloss.
I use various brands and weights, but if my project is something special then I use lford Galerie professional ink-jet photo range of papers.
My best results come from their 280g Smooth Pearl Paper, it gives an excellent result and is instant drying too!

Me on the matt aswell - 280gm smooth pearl & I have some specialist 320gm aswell
