I used to teach Photography to Adult education classes here in Ireland, we offered a mumber of City & Guilds modules to participants. When they had achieved a certain standard in a minimum of 5 modules they could apply to the British Royal Photographic Sociey (RPS) for it's Licentiatship award. This gave the person the right to use the letters LRPS after thier name and it is a highly sought after, and recognised qualification - you have to produce portfolios of images to get it - so it infers that you really can do the job. You can join the RPS from anywhere in the world and submit panels of images for the award in your own time without haveing to attend any collage, and of course, while you are doing it, you are producing a body of work and gaining experience and learning about photography the best way - by taking photographs. The RPS has a website, so check it out and see what you think. I also have some tutorial notes I could put on disc and send you if you give me a mailing address. My own personal e-mail is digipos56@live.co.uk and phone number is 00353-87-2490191.
I hope this information is of some use to you,
regards,
Peter
