ink cartridges are expensive, i am refilling mine, but still find problems with that, because the printer manufacturer tries to keep us from doing that. i bet they make more on the ink than on the printers.
anybody out there that has found the perfect way? i have canon ip 5000 and in china the ip3300 is there an automatic refilling available for those?

I ruined an hp all in one with the refilling thing. Took a year to kill it but it did
There's a reason for them saying not to do that
I found out the hard way
I'm sure some have had no negative effects but there's my story

I have used continuous inking systems on several printers and they worked great. One also totally ruined the print heads on my R2400 due to iffy ink drying out during times of no use.
All said I would recommend them as long as your printer doesn't cost loads of money. If you have a printer that has the print head in the cartridge though they will degrade with time.

when it comes to ink, paper and printers you pay for what you get... cheap ink tends to be rubbish, i only ever use epson ink in my epson now... i have tried others and they come no where near they block the heads, i know epson recommend that you use the ink within 1 month, so i expect that canon are the same... if you are not printing a whole lot try photobox... or another online print service... with the continuous ink system you should be using quite a bit of ink for them not to block often
