I recently tried a new supplier of prints and they came back a bit dark. They included a free calibration print so that you could calibrate your screen to the print, (ie match their website version of the print to the actual print).
However, after an attempt at calibration, existing screen photos (mine and others on FT) appeared far too dark. As I’m happy with my current screen set up, I wondered if any knowledgeable FT’ers have the same problem.
Are your photos on FT processed differently to the ones you send off to a print company?

For my customers 4x6" - 11x14" I use a variety of inexpensive ones, Walgreens, Walmart etc. I have compared them with a bunch of more expensive processors (including MPIX which is apparently a relatively high end business) and without a loupe the differences are negligible.

Appreciate you taking the time, guys.
But my actual query revolves around whether you would print what you post here (on Fotothing).
Leaving photo size aside, would you upload a photo here and send the same version off to a print company and expect good results? Or would you adjust the contrast/colours to match the medium?

I edit my photos the same whether for here on FT or for printing. I usually spend less time time for the ones on here - at 550px subtle differences aren't worth the effort.
That being said - if it is a photo I feel I will be printing to sell I do all the editing for it, save it to a special folder, then frame, resize and save to a FT folder and upload.
