Hey all, I just bought an infrared filter from the net and thought it would work differently, does anybody know how to use it cause its totally black. I even placed it directly on a lamp and it doesn't let light pass, let alone get my camera focus on something!!
Thank you

Finally got some time to look this up for you.
I've been told the filters are a bit tricky to use and have been considering sending in my D50 to these people to have the camera converted to an IR camera.

they came recommended to me by the owner of our local camera shop here and have a great reputation
aside from converting that site offers filters and tutorials as well... so you may find lots of helpful info there

its just that your exposures will get long due to that dark filter. but sometimes the results may be stunning (try macro on human eyes with that, its scary)
