HELP PLEASE
I have 3 rolls of 50 year old negatives. They are either 120 or 620 films (2-1/2 inch square). I took them in 1958 on a senior class trip to Washington D.C. My Dad developed the film and I am sure printed pictures but the pictures have long gone missing but I have the negatives. They was been stored rolled up in a plastic film container since Dad printed the pictures.
I am looking for someone close by that can print pictures off them at a reasonable cost. Wolfe's Camera in Topeka, KS can do them but it will cost me about 6 or 7 US dollar for each photo. (they scan the negatives than print from the scan.) and from what I understand they would also cut the strips which I would rather not have them do. They have been stored in this container for 50 years and or in good condition so why change that.
I could have had it done at the Emporia State University but I called them the day after they had dumped their chemicals for the summer. Also their was not going to be anyone that would be working with film other the summer. My Reunion is September 3 and we are driving so would probably leave 3 or 4 days before then.
If I find someone with access to dark room in the Kansas City area be willing to take them there. Wichita would also so be doable

Why not buy a scanner & do it yourself?
I've scanned old negatives of my dads, plus you get to clone out any scratches etc.. Once you have them scanned printing is a breeze.

Thank for your suggestion.
I have a Cannon 3000 flatbed scanner and have tried to do that without any success. It is several years old but I don't do that much scanning and really don't want to buy a new one.
I've tried several different ways of scanning them and all I get is nearly black scans. Maybe I'll search for an update on the program.
I have access to a photo scanner but it only scans 35 mm film. If I could find the book to goes with it there is a holder for small photo that might work. I'll keep trying.
I am also check with some people I know here that might be able to help.

Same problem with my scanner....... only 35mm
I tried doing partial scans and it worked for some but we ended up having to take the rest into a camera store to get it done but it wasn't nearly that expensive
good luck on your search

I'm sure she'll be available shortly after hell freezes over... how about setting up a dinner for that night?
p.s. her address is just down that 300m pier. About 400m
Now go! Go far and for your own good - don't come back.

all morning driving thru town and at breakfast I'd look at Jeff and say "hell freezes over" and then just start giggling
I think it's funny that if it is him he's trying to pick up on himself PMSL
actually he asked me in PM today to help him rid himself of this scholesy person who is picking up on him
like HOW am I supposed to do that!?
if i can't rid myself of this then how can i rid him of it
especially if it's just himself..... the story of crying wolf comes to mind...
oh well it's all just a bunch of bunk anyways... none of it's true... it's cyber soap opera land
got a new lens to play with ;-) going to do something semi productive

I think this Guy is nice ..lovely offer in fact, I am sure Jeff does not mind all this attention you are getting ... you are kinda cute :-) (Jeff / Keit... I mean that in a nice non - flirtatious way)
I think it would be nice to set a date, be lovely for someone else to pay the Bill instead of Jeff, I can see it now..so lovely.. you and Jeff gazing at eachother over a candlelit table.. Scolesy looking from the table next to you at how lovely you look in your evening dress (avoiding any eye contact with Jeff..in case Jeff thinks he's getting fresh with him too) ahhhh and then you get up .. say thank you, hope you enjoyed looking at me ... btw .. we had the top house steaks ..all trimmings ... lobster starters... ohh and the caviar ..to die for ...hmmm .. and we had 3 bottles of 1923 chateua de plonk ... 130 usd each ... still thirsty ..can we order another to take home ?
perfect ...he has the Money ... he plays for Man Utd .. ask Stu, his first name is Paul
Bon Apetite ;-)
LMAO!

We ALL went off topic, as often happens in the forums here because we sometimes like to have fun.....
Whatisee didn't like the idea of that, hence the 'sense of humour deficit' comment.
Perhaps it was because I have one !
