I get a lot of questions from this site as to how I process my images using Photoshop, so I made some tutorials of the things that I do to them. Just copy and paste the address into your browser.

I hope some of you find them interesting and helpful, any comments are appreciated.

Your profession is cameras... mine is computers... we help in our respective fields ;)

p.s. I've been applying an USM of 300 0.3 0 as apparently it's the magic number to "sharpen up" Canon shots. I've been pretty happy with the result mostly.

I mainly use High Pass Sharpening, then use the layer opacity to fade it in or out ... I also often choose the specific lines to sharpen using one of the selection methods, and just sharpen those lines, or add varying degrees of sharpness to specific parts of the image. It saves from sharpening things like the sky, which you want to be smooth.

I think everybody using Photoshop eventually develops their own favourites as far as settings go.... and there are always a dozen ways of achieving the same effect!

This is just what I've been looking for - a simple step by step beginners guide, Thank you for posting it.

Does anyone know the best way to save the info onto my hard drive to refer to later because I am going back to rural Spain next week & will have only limited internet access?

Thank you kindly for the links to tutorials. I don't have a lot of time to learn on my own so this is VERY helpful and very kind of you to be so generous.
