I'm probably taking a lot for granted, but if you're anything like me, then you'll be listening to some chunes while you're clicking away with your wee mousey. If so, what is it, right now?
I mean right now, as you read this, what's on the player?
I'm on Magazine's 'a song from under the floorboards'.

Right now one of the disks in my multi-disk player that I play as back ground music at bed time. Don't know the name of it but it features a pan flute. But in I few minutes when I realize that the same thing have been playing over and over I'll turn on the Public Radio Station that I have on at all other times. Kansas Public Radio out of Lawrence Kansas (89.70 fm here in Emporia.

Penny> Well, i didn't know who Leslie West was, but a quick google tells me you are right, the very same band.
(This is one of those wierd occasions that happen in my life, where you tell me he's living next door to you and was at your barbeque yesterday, right?) :-)

Penny> Yeah, i bet they were good live. I only know them because they are on the Radio Caroline playlist (www.radiocaroline.co.uk) one of the original pirates still struggling on and unlike the others they still own their ship. That particular track sits nicely in one of my winamp playlists, following Bad Company's "Feel Like Making Love" and before Deep Purple's "Child In Time".

Back again. Right now I'm on Dome "To Speak". Came home from work to find mail-ordered cd of Dome 3 & 4 lying on the mat. Man, I love it when music falls through the letterbox! Downloading just doesn't have the same magic about it. Buying an album (vinyl, for preference), transporting it home, unwrapping it & checking out all the artwork or whatever, kind of adds to the magic.
Sorry, got carried way for a moment :)

Yes, i *MISS* the vinyl experience. Rushing out to the shop and carting home a CD in those stupid boxes that innevitably break, inserting the disc, and then finding the thing jumps - it's just not so personal as putting the needle into the groove.
CDs have become like digital watches, for me. When they were first invented we all went "Wow!" and now that the thrill has gone i wish they'd go away.
(beep beep) (beep beep) (beep beep) ...
