[[QUOTE=Blu Toy]. You and a few others think by putting others down. It builds you up.
I don't think Jomoud and the few others, are putting other people's down....I think the issue is all about
"PRINSCIPLES" If no one understands that.....I don't know anymore :(

Quote > belinketeneghe - moreover, the "no ad" option has disappeared from my settings page.
I removed the ads in My Settings last night on my laptop. This morning, on my desktop, they are back. What's going on now?

Sheila, FT has made it so that you have to logout, delete the FT cookie, then log back in and the ads will be gone.
BUT, if you stay logged in and don't use the site for some unknown period of time, the ads magically reappear. Additionally, the option to turn them off/on no longer appears on your Settings page.
Fotothing, please fix this problem!!!

Thanks, Bill - that seems to have done it for me!

I am not happy about the direction FT is taking.
However, Fotothing to me is not a buch of people in London, UK who run it.
Fotothing to me are the many many close friends I have made.
I am not happy, but I will not leave!
I may or may not revert back to non-Pro at renewal time, I'll decide when the time comes.
I may or may not upload less photos here and more elsewhere.
I will continue to speak out, without regard for comments of some who think it is for personal recognition here:)
The latter is quite funny actually. I get enough love from my family to have to seek it here.
I have the respect of my employees and do not need to find it here.
But just one look at my friends' list will tell you that I do not need to seek personal recognition here.
I have tons and tons of it.
And that is the main reason why I simply cannot leave FT!!!!!!!

VERY UNPROFESIONAL to logout, delete the FT cookie, then log back in and the ads will be gone and again
next time .....

I deleted the cookie earlier, got rid of the ads, went to eat a meal and when I came back the ads were back although I hadn't logged out at all. I then logged out and back in - abracadabra the ads disappeared!
I'm not a computer programmer but my impression is that whoever is supposed to be fixing this isn't very good at it!!

Could be deliberate as we still see the ads even if temporarily... ;)

maybe so, but I doubt it ct.......
I think it's just hastily written, poorly verified coding (programming).

I know it is a hassle to stay not logged in everytime, but if you log out and back in it will stay ad free. As long as I don't check the box each time and log in each time I come back I don't have to delete cookies. Deleted cookies twice since this all started that is all.

Maybe the more vocal you are about this issue the more problems you have with the ads and cookies.........

this is still an issue, and is becoming increasingly irritating. I',m glad some of you aren't having the problem anymore, but it is still there. Even Firefox with the plugin no longer prevents the ads for me.

I ddin't realise til reading this stuuf that things were so bad. When did FT reduce the uploads for non-members from ten to five photos?
