I also noticed this problem, as far as I know one of the selling points for a PRO-membership was that the ads was diabled.
I suggest the administrators to remove the ads for all pros before they loose their since long paying pro-members.
I am otherwise looking forward to get my money wired back.

I'm not into this but if we get the Google ads isn't it possible for the google guys to get our IP address and target us with even more ads?
As a means to fight back each of us pros could send one message a day with the subject line 'Protest' and the content 'We don't want ads!'
I think that would make lot of protest messages.

Yes no point being Pro if there are ads .. the scary thing is I'm used to them on the pages already, I don't seem to notice them :((( damn consumer society we live in !!
Still get rid of them FT or there won't be many PRO's

You have to use a 3rd party blocker:
Tools; Add-ons, Get Add-ons
I'm still going back to IE, all my auto-fill is there, and I haven't found FF to be any more stable.

Thanks Meg .. the Adblocker Plus for Mozilla Firefox works .. I have no ads :))))))))))
Of course that isn't the point we shouldn't have got them in the first place.

Has anyone considered the possibility those who run FT don't care whether Pros are fuming or not; that they make far more from the ads than they would if the disgruntled were placated and renewed their memberships? All the more reason to go non-Pro of course.

I have considered that, of course.
and I am certain that ADVFN has looked at it that way.
They do not give a hoot what a few hundred Pro members think.
However, they had an agreement with us, and unilaterally broke it.
Not smart business when as a corporation you are in the financial world.
I wonder how a few thousand investors would react if they pulled a stunt like that on their paid subscribers.
